Description

Show Format:

  • Saturday of the show is a training day, and the Sunday is a competition day.
  • If a 3-day show is run it will be training on Friday and Competition on Saturday and Sunday

Dates for 2023/2024:

29th and 30th of July

9th and 10th of September 

17th, 18th and 19th of November

24th and 25th of February

Show Membership Costings and Types:

  1. Rider Membership – Purchased online through the global entries page, not a club membership like last year. The cost of a rider membership is 25$ per show.
  2. Horse Slot – Acquired through Global Entries, this is a change from last year where slots where invoiced. The cost is $1100 per slot.
  3. One Horse Slot gives you the right to start twice on Saturday and once on Sunday.

 

Slot Procurement process:

  1. A show will be setup on global, Slots will be sold similar to purchasing an entry in a class.
  2. First Release of Slots:
    1. Those individuals that had slots last year will be given first option to renew their slots for the upcoming series. An email will be sent out to those people with an early entry code to access the slot sale.
    2. Entitlement to slots: For example, if you owned two slots in 2022/2023 you will have first option to procure two slots again. If you want more slots you will need to wait until the second release of slots.
    3. After the first release of slots the committee will reconcile the slot sales.
  3. Second Release of Slots – if required.
    1. If there are any slots left over after the first round slot holders from the previous year will have first option to procure any surplus slots. A code will be sent out and they will be sold on a first in first sold basis.
  4. Third Release of Slots – If required.
    1. If there any slots left after rounds 1 and 2, they will publicised on social media and sold accordingly.

SJA will be running 4 member only shows in 2023/2024

         

 

Will there be entry fees on top of the slot payment

          

 

 

No, the slot payment is all inclusive, no additional medic fees, ground fees, day stay etc

     

 

How will payment be made for the Rider membership

          

 

 

Rider membership will be paid before each show.

    

 

Can I change horses between shows

Global Entries

            

 

Can I change entries for Sunday and start the same horse twice on Sunday?

           

 

 

Editing will be available – you can only start twice with the same horse if you have two slots available. To be competitive you must start in different events. If you start twice in the same event, you will be considered non-competitive.

           

 

Will there be class number limits

           

 

 

No - if you have a slot you can start in the classes you want

        

 

             

 

        

 

I am a coach can I buy a slot and rotate its use between different riders that I teach at each show

Yes, dates may be changed as the result of weather for example. The intent is to hold the dates.

Is there a guarantee the show series will run next year

         

 

 

No there is no guarantee, although the intent is to make this show series long term and sustainable

    

 

Can slot and membership costs change between years

         

 

 

Yes, costs are subject to change, but the association will do their best to provide the best value to

their members and try to limit price shifts.
