Conditions of Entry
All riders and owners entering, competing or have horses competing in this event are expected to have read and accepted the following conditions of entry and consent to them when entering online. Parents of anyone under the age of 18 must have read and consented to the conditions online. The event will be run under EA/FEI rules. The Organizing Committee (OC) reserves the right to change or amend the program at its discretion. Horses may only start in a maximum of 2classes per day.
All riders, participants, volunteers and spectators attend the event at their own risk and the event organizers hold no liability or responsibility for any injury sustained at or during the duration of the event and hold no liability or responsibility for any belongings lost, stolen or misplaced on the showgrounds or during the duration of the event. All owners and competitors will be personally responsible for damages to any third parties caused by themselves, their employees, their agents or their animals. Please ensure the safety of your children whilst in proximity to horses. You give permission to Geelong Showjumping Club to utilize your image, and or your horses images in any and all media in relation to the promotion of activities held by the Geelong Showjumping Club.
Behavior Abuse: cruel and violent treatment of a person or animal. Abusive behavior towards any personnel involved in the organization and running of this event will not be tolerated. Any person inflicting abuse upon such personnel will be asked to leave the premises and all entries will be forfeited. The FEI requires all those involved in international equestrian sport to adhere to the FEI Code of Conduct and to acknowledge and accept that at all times the welfare of the Horse must be paramount. Welfare of the Horse must never be subordinated to competitive or commercial influences. Fees and Charges All Global Entries fees shall be charged to the entrant. First Aid fee of $20.00 applies per rider, per day. WPNEC facility fee of $20.00 applies per horse, per day. Administration fee of $10.00 applies per entry.
Refunds and Scratching's All scratching's will be fully refunded, less a $10 administration fee, prior to close of entries via email only atgeelongshowjumping@gmail.com. After the close of entries, a refund will only be issued with the production of a Veterinary or Medical Certificate for the horse(s) and/or rider(s) requested. A $10 administration fee will be retained. There will be no refunds after the commencement of competition. Stables and Yards Yards are available for use as part of your facility fee. Stables& camping to be booked through www.WPNEC.com.au Competitors may not build your own yards or stables as per WPNEC requirements. Memberships and Registrations Riders must be a current financial member of Equestrian Australia to be able to ride at this show. Participant members may compete in classes 104cm and below. Full members may compete in all classes. Horses nominated for classes 104cm or below in height must hold a current EA Base Horse Registration. All horses nominated for classes of 105cm and above, must hold current registration and a Jumping License from EA. Registration checks will occur prior to the competition. Any horses or riders whose registration or Jumping License has not been renewed or purchased will be contacted by either Equestrian Victoria or the OC to correct this. Dress Code Riders in all competition rings must be in correct dress unless otherwise instructed by the judge. Any person mounted upon a horse must be wearing a properly secured helmet and correct footwear. Please ensure your helmet has been tagged, as per the 2022 EA regulations. Helmet tagging will be available at the Secretary Office
Presentations Presentations will be mounted, and riders must wear their correct attire. Riders who are not available for presentations or who do not fulfill any media commitments that may be required by the OC, may forfeit all prize money. Winners of classes may be required to participate in photo and media obligations. Prizes and Prize Money Prizes are to be collected at time of presentation, Prize money will be paid via Global Entries. Prize money will not be paid to any rider with outstanding fees.
Volunteers If you are unable to complete your volunteer role no matter what the reason, you are required to find a replacement and notify GSJC of the person fulfilling this role.
Werribee Park Risk Management Conditions 1. Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre Committee of Management considers it a privilege that you are allowed to bring your dog to this venue. Dogs must be on a leash at all times. 2. Approved safety helmets must be worn when riding. 3. Cross country obstacles must not be jumped or used. 4. Riding of horses bareback, rugged only or bridle less is prohibited. 5. Two horses may be led whilst mounted on another horse. 6. Stallions need to be handled or ridden by person/s over the age of seventeen. 7. Horses are not permitted in the quadrangle near indoor. 8. Horses are not permitted near pedestrian doorways. 9. Bicycles are not permitted in the indoor arena or any stable block. Helmets must be worn. 10. Bicycles are not permitted near doors designated as public exits and entrances. 11. Motorcyclists must wear approved helmets at all times. 12. Speed limits must be adhered too. (10kph at all times) 13. Power leads must not be on the ground or over roadways. 14. Alcohol must not be consumed in the indoor arenas, unless purchased from the licensed bar in indoor 1. 15. Please observe all signs at the venue. 16. Horses must be tie-up in a safe manner. 17. No infrastructure is to be erected at the venue without written permission from management. 18. Entry and exit doors to indoor arenas are not to be obstructed at any time. 19. Every event held at WPNEC must provide their own first aid officials.
