Description

A two day show jumping competition on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September 2025.

Two rings will be in operation

All events to be run under EA rules.

ALL RIDERS AND OWNERS MUST BE FINANCIAL EA MEMBERS.

ALL HORSES IN RING 1 1.05 AND ABOVE MUST BE EA REGISTERED AND HAVE CURRENT JUMP LICENSES FOR COMPETITION.

ALL HELMETS MUST BE TAGGED AS PER EA REGULATIONS.

2 rounds per day per horse.

SATURDAY and SUNDAY course walk from 8:00am with first rider on course at 8.30am

ALL CLASSES IN ALL RINGS WILL RUN IN DRAW ORDER

A canteen will be operational for both days - please support them.

Any fees caused by competitors' behaviour will be passed on to the competitor.

Volunteer Levy

With such a small committee a volunteer levy has been put in place to enable our event to run. This levy will be refunded on completion of volunteering at the event and being signed off at either of the judges boxes.

Camping and Stables

If wishing to camp or use stables then payment must be made as part of your entry. Camping is $25 per night and Stables/yards are $15 per horse per night.

Riders must bring their own shavings for stables.

Day Stay

There is a charge of $10 per day for those only attending for the day.

Conduct and Cleanliness

During the hire period, the Hirer is responsible for the good conduct of its members and patrons. Any damages caused by the Hirer's members or patrons must be reported immediately. The cost of any repairs will be invoiced to the Hirer.

All areas used must be left in a clean and tidy state. If the areas are left in an untidy state, the Hirer will be charged a cleaning fee of $100 per area.

All manure, hay and rubbish must be picked up from all areas. Manure and hay is to be placed in the designated muck heap not left in front of stables. 

Stables must be left cleaned out.

Refunds

All refunds either before or after close of entries will incur a 25% administration fee. A 75% refund will be given on presentation of Vet or Doctors certificate. Only horses covered by vet certificate will be covered.

Insurance and safety

I understand and acknowledge that horse sports are a dangerous activity and that horses can act in a sudden and unpredictable way, especially if frightened or hurt.

I understand and acknowledge that serious INJURY or DEATH may result from horse sport activities and in particular from events in which I participate. I agree that I PARTICIPATE at my OWN RISK.

I understand that by entering this event constitutes a complete and unconditional release of all liability of Gundagai Horse Trials, to the greatest extent allowed by law in the event of me and/or the children under my care, suffering injury or death.

In the event of an accident/incident or near miss an incident report form must be completed, signed and returned within 24 hours of incident. Incident report forms can be found at the office

Gundagai Horse Trials shall not be liable for the safety of any goods or equipment, or the loss of or damage to such goods and equipment.

Current Australian Safety Standards Approved safety helmets must be worn at all times whilst riding.

All persons handling horses must wear boots of solid construction.

Dogs must be restrained on a leash at all times.

All gates must be left as they are found.

Vehicles must proceed slowly.

Horses MUST NOT be tied to stable doors or arena walls. Stallions must not be tied up unattended at any time. Stallions must be identified at all times.

GHT will not be held responsible for damage to vehicles or loss of property.

Current standard helmets must be worn at all times while riding or lunging horses.

No horse is to be placed in a yard or stable without prior permission from GHT.

This is a Showjumping Event. NO person is allowed on the cross country course.
