Ring 1 will be in Martin Collins Outdoor Waxed Arena 1 and will run to draw order.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
- All riders and owners entering, competing or have horses competing in this event are expected to have read and accepted the following conditions of entry and consent to them when entering online.
- Parents of anyone under the age of 18 must have read and consented to the conditions online.
- All riders, participants, volunteers and spectators attend the event at their own risk and the event organisers hold no liability or responsibility for any injury sustained at or during the duration of the event and hold no liability or responsibility for any belongings lost, stolen or misplaced on the show grounds or during the duration of the event.
- All entries must be completed through globalentriesonline.com.au
- The event will be run under EA/FEI rules.
- The Organising Committee (OC) reserves the right to change or amend the program at its discretion.
- All owners and competitors will be personally responsible for damages to any third parties caused by themselves, their employees, their agents or their animals.
- Please ensure the safety of your children whilst in proximity to horses.
- Under EA Welfare Rules you may only enter a horse in TWO CLASSES PER DAY
- You give permission to Geelong Showjumping Club to utilise your image, and or your horses images in any and all media in relation to the promotion of activities held by the Geelong Showjumping Club.
MEMBERSHIPS AND REGISTRATIONS - Riders must be a current financial member of Equestrian Australia, Pony Club Australia or HRCAV to be able to ride at this show.
- Participant members may compete in classes 104cm and below. Full members may compete in all classes.
- Horses nominated for classes 104cm or below in height must hold a current EA Base Horse Registration.
- All horses nominated for classes of 105cm and above, must hold current registration and a Jumping Licence from EA.
- Registration checks will occur prior to the competition. Any horses or riders whose registration or Jumping License has not been renewed or purchased will be contacted by either Equestrian Victoria or the OC to correct this. Fines will be imposed, and all prize money forfeited should renewal or registration not be completed.
ATTIRE - Formal dress rules apply in all rings – however riders will be permitted to remove their jackets at the discretion of the OC or the Judge of each ring. If summer uniform is to be worn shirts must have sleeves. White ties or ratcatchers must be worn.
- Presentations will be mounted, and riders are expected to wear their jackets.
- Any person mounted upon a horse must be wearing a properly secured helmet and correct footwear. Please ensure your helmet has been tagged, as per the 2022 EA regulations.
- Helmet tagging will be available at the Secretary Office
PRIZES AND PRIZE MONEY - Prizes from 1st to 4th will be available for collection from the Secretary Office upon completion of each class presentation.
- All prizes must be collected by the conclusion of the event on Sunday, otherwise will be reabsorbed back into Geelong Showjumping Club.
- Prize money will be issued via EFT in the days following the conclusion of the event.
FEES AND CHARGES - All Global Entries Online fees shall be charged to the entrant.
- First Aid fee of $10.00 applies per rider, per day.
- WPNEC facility fee of $16.50 applies per horse, per day.
- Administration fee of $5.00 applies per entry.
REFUNDS AND SCRATCHINGS - Prior to the close of entries, a refund will be issued less a $10 administration fee.
- After the close of entries, a refund will only be issued with the production of a Veterinary or Medical Certificate for the horse(s) and/or rider(s) requested. A $10 administration fee will be retained.
- There will be no refunds after the commencement of competition.
- Scratchings will only be accepted by email.
BEHAVIOUR - Abuse: cruel and violent treatment of a person or animal.
- Abusive behaviour towards any personnel involved in the organisation and running of this event will not be tolerated. Any person inflicting abuse upon such personnel will be asked to leave the premises and all entries will be forfeited.
- The FEI requires all those involved in international equestrian sport to adhere to the FEI Code of Conduct and to acknowledge and accept that at all times the welfare of the Horse must be paramount. Welfare of the Horse must never be subordinated to competitive or commercial influences.
VOLUNTEER ROLES
If you are unable to complete your volunteer role no matter what the reason, you are required to find a replacement & notify geelongshowjumping@gmail.com of the person fulfilling this role. OTHER BOOKINGS AND CATERING - Yards are available for use as part of your facility fee.
- Stables & camping to be booked through www.WPNEC.com.au
- Competitors may not build your own yards or stables as per WPNEC requirements.
- Food vans will be available Saturday and Sunday.
WERRIBEE PARK RISK MANAGEMENT CONDITIONS 1. Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre Committee of Management considers it a privilege that you are allowed to bring your dog to this venue. Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
2. Approved safety helmets must be worn when riding
3. Cross country obstacles must not be jumped or used.
4. Riding of horses bareback, rugged only or bridleless is prohibited
5. Two horses may be led whilst mounted on another horse.
6. Stallions need to be handled or ridden by person/s over the age of seventeen
7. Horses are not permitted in the quadrangle near indoor
8. Horses are not permitted near pedestrian doorways.
9. Bicycles are not permitted in the indoor arena or any stable block. Helmets must be worn.
10. Bicycles are not permitted near doors designated as public exits and entrances.
11. Motorcyclists must wear approved helmets at all times.
12. Speed limits must be adhered too. (10kph at all times)
13. Power leads must not be on the ground or over roadways.
14. Alcohol must not be consumed in the indoor arenas, unless purchased from the licensed bar in indoor 1.
15. Please observe all signs at the venue.
16. Horses must be tied up in a safe manner.
17. No infrastructure is to be erected at the venue without written permission from management.
18. Entry and exit doors to indoor arenas are not to be obstructed at any time.
19. Every event held at WPNEC must provide their own first aid officials. These conditions apply unless the management or committee has given the event concerned an exemption. Queries can be emailed to Jamison at geelongshowjumping@gmail.com
